🐟 Ingredients

For the fish:

  • 1 whole fish (such as mackerel, sardine, or sole), cleaned

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the fish

  1. Rinse the fish and pat dry. Rub with lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Coat the fish evenly with the flour mixture.

2️⃣ Fry the fish

  1. Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
  2. Carefully add the fish and fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides (about 5–7 minutes per side).
  3. Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.

3️⃣ Make the fries

  1. Peel potatoes and cut into sticks.
  2. Soak in cold water for 15 minutes, then pat dry.
  3. Fry in hot oil until golden and crisp.
  4. Sprinkle with salt immediately after frying.
